 The Living sacrifice

When God created Man and called him Adam, He made sure that this prototype of Himself reached an expectation and an end. Whose end is to embody God completely and yet have the two realities co exist in ONE.

But this beauty was truncated and abolished when they fell; so, inorder to make it up, God began a recovery mechanism from where mankind fell and became dead to God i.e could not relate with God like before. God's recovery mechanism therefore was to make a way for them back to Himself. He created and established this way through his death (Forgiveness of SIN).

Once this way has been created for mankind to thread upon, mankind is expected to do something to enter through the prepared way.

God designed it like that for mankind to participate and man will to have to use his heart and mouth to fellowship with it. Man became alive and living by accepting the prepared way created for them (Man became saved by calling on the name of God i.e  Rom 8 15). From this point, whosoever accepts or believes what the forgiveness of SIN brought became ALIVE.

So as soon as he became living or alive, he/she is suppose to do something from then forward. That man is living and must be ready to live just as the Lord Jesus Christ lived and modeled living for us. Living like that is what worship is. Living in the light of what has been done and concluded is living a sacrifice.

An illustration to paint the picture clearly is...

Imagine a guy who has been weighed down by pornography and fornication for several years; but, on this faithful day, he overheard a staff talking to another colleague in the office while this staff painted the true nature of God to his colleague. The guy who was eavesdropping went to the  staff as soon as he could to verify the things he heard earlier and the staff  thereby sat him down to give a thorough explanation of this nature of God to him. By this, the guy came to believe and acknowledge his new nature with his mouth. Weeks after,  he was alone in his room, surfing the internet as usual while the urge came again to explore erotic contents that popped -up on his laptop. Almost  immediately, he remembered the new person that he now is and refused to give in to this pressing urge. 

He was compelled to ignore the temptation by that rememberance and stood for what he now believes. Such a picture depicts what a living sacrifice is.

For a life to be a living sacrifice means to live it in accordance to the written word of God. Doing what the word says; If it says shut up and dance, you do just that.

If it says stand up and walk, you do just that.

A living sacrifice is a way to show or tell the body (self) that a new life has taken hold of it, therefore it is only continuously allowed to be stimulated by this new life.
